Regardless of whether a staff member works in the field or in the office, every employee of Commercial Interiors, Incorporated approaches each work day within the larger safety perspective. Through the use of several different elements, the company strives to educate all individuals, prevent accidents and promote a culture of safety. When unfortunate accidents do occur, employees are educated on how to immediately and safely respond to a number of situations. Furthermore, through reviewing the company safety manual annually, attending safety meetings twice each week, and complying with onsite job inspections, our field staff constantly implements the company’s safety practices. The company makes every effort to ensure that each person works with the necessary personal protective equipment, knowledge and tools. All employees are part of the safety training program, frequent safety jobsite inspections and the continuous safety conversation. Through Commercial Interiors, Incorporated, individuals are sure to receive the information they need in order to perform and evade all harm.
Company Safety Policy
Commercial Interiors, Incorporated recognizes and accepts the responsibility to provide a safe and healthy working environment for all of our employees. The personal safety and health of each employee is of primary importance. The prevention of occupationally induced injuries and illnesses is of such consequence that it will be given precedence over operating productivity whenever necessary. To the greatest degree possible, our management will provide the mechanical and physical facilities required for personal safety and health in keeping with the highest standards.
Commercial Interiors, Incorporated will continue to maintain a health and safety program that exceeds expectations. To be successful, such a program must embody the proper attitudes toward injury and illness prevention on the part of supervisors and employees. It also requires cooperation in safety and health matters, not only between supervisors and employees, but also between employees and their co-workers. Only through such a cooperative effort can a safety program, in the best interest of all, be established and preserved.
Our objective is a safety and health program that will eliminate injuries and illnesses in the workplace. The expectation is ZERO incidents.
Our health and safety program includes:
- Making sure every employee’s first priority is to work safely. The expectation for each employee is to perform his or her duties injury free.
- Providing mechanical and physical safeguards to the maximum extent possible.
- Using a safety management firm and conducting a program of health and safety inspections to find and eliminate unsafe working conditions or practices, to control health hazards and to comply fully with health and safety standards for every job.
- Providing training for employees in proactive health and safety practices.
- Providing necessary personal protective equipment and instruction for its use and care.
- Developing and enforcing health and safety rules and requiring that employees cooperate with these rules as a condition of employment.
- Promptly and thoroughly investigating a safety incident to find its cause and correcting it so the problem will be abated.
- Creating and utilizing a system of recognition and awards for outstanding safety service or performance.
- Requiring all workers in the field to sign documents each week to demonstrate their positive attitude toward the safety of culture and all of its components.
Commercial Interiors, Incorporated has taken the first steps in implementing a behavioral based safety program which continues to evolve with the growth of the industry.
