Regardless of whether a staff member works in the field or in the office, every employee of Commercial Interiors, Inc., approaches each work day within the larger safety perspective. Through the use of several different elements, the company strives to educate all working individuals in order to prevent accidents before they actually happen. When unfortunate accidents do occur, our staff is further educated on how to immediately and safely respond to a number of situations. Because safety is a top priority for Commercial Interiors, Inc., the company’s entire staff is educated with safety awareness strategies. Furthermore, through annually reviewing the company safety manual, studying weekly safety forms, and complying with onsite job inspections, our field staff is strongly affected by the safety efforts promoted by the company. Through Commercial, Interiors, Inc., individuals are sure to receive the knowledge they need in order to perform and evade all harm.

The first component of the safety program requires all field employees to read the latest literature on safety awareness within the construction industry. These informational sheets include knowledge regarding scaffolding, personal protective equipment, the cautious use of ladders, and other highly relevant facts that enable our staff to make better decisions on the job. Second, prior to any employee walking out onto a jobsite through the company, Commercial Interiors, Inc., is sure to have each staff member sign a document confirming his or her knowledge and understanding of the total contents of the safety manual after reading it in its entirety. They see their responsibility to educate their employees as a crucial step in maintaining the livelihood of the staff and the company. Through the use of a thorough and extensive safety manual, they are able to concurrently educate employees and demonstrate only the highest of safety expectations. Finally, Commercial Interiors, Inc., works with an outside safety management firm in order to receive the most valuable and accurate advice regarding various jobsites and their safety standings. Through these reports, follow up visits and yearly reviews, Commercial Interiors, Inc., strives to maintain high standards of safety everywhere the company works.

We make every effort to ensure that each person works with the proper tools, knowledge and safety protection. All employees are part of our continual safety training program, frequent safety jobsite inspections and the continuous safety conversation. We take pride in our efforts to put safety first.

Company Safety Policy

Commercial Interiors, Inc. recognizes and accepts the responsibility to provide a safe and healthy working environment for all of its employees.

Accidents have a far-reaching effect on all those involved. The injured person incurs the physical pain of the injury, and the lost time and wages adversely affect their family. Increased insurance costs, job delays, damaged equipment; all increase our cost of producing the job at hand. This creates adverse public and customer opinions of Commercial Interiors, Inc.; hinders our ability to retain the jobs we have and secure future jobs in today’s extremely competitive marketplace.

The personal safety and health of each employee is of primary importance. The prevention of occupationally induced injuries and illnesses is of such consequence that it will be given precedence over operating productivity whenever necessary. To the greatest degree possible, our management will provide the mechanical and physical facilities required for personal safety and health in keeping with the highest standards.

Commercial Interiors, Inc. will maintain a safety and health program conforming to the best practices of organizations of this type. To be successful, such a program must embody the proper attitudes toward injury and illness prevention on the part of supervisors and employees. It also requires cooperation in safety and health matters, not only between supervisor and employee, but also between each employee and his or her co-workers. Only through such a cooperative effort can a safety program, in the best interest of all, be established and preserved.

Our objective is a safety and health program that will eliminate injuries and illnesses in the workplace. The expectation is ZERO Incidents.

Our safety and health program will include:

  1. The first priority for every employee is to work safely. The expectation for each employee is to perform his or her duties injury free.
  2. Providing mechanical and physical safeguards to the maximum extent possible.
  3. Conducting a program of safety and health inspections to find and eliminate unsafe working conditions or practices, to control health hazards, and to comply fully with the safety and health standards for every job.
  4. Providing training for employees in good safety and health practices.
  5. Providing necessary personal protective equipment and instruction for its use & care.
  6. Developing and enforcing safety and health rules and requiring that employees cooperate with these rules as a condition of employment.
  7. Investigating, promptly and thoroughly, every incident to find out what caused it and to correct the problem so that it will not happen again.
  8. Setting up a system of recognition and awards for outstanding safety service or performance.
